I decided not to
reinvent the wheel by putting my own spin on what has already been
explained on numerous websites and in various publications. Within the pages of
the "Urn Your Greens" website I will provide specifics to my bin design and how
it works. For anyone wishing to research composting further, I've provided a
few links that I felt covered composting in general.
Through the external links, You will
learn that there is more than one method to composting (aerobic* anerobic,
bins, worm-bins, piles, turning-drums, etc.) and many types of materials
(kitchen waste, yard waste etc.) that can be recycled into compost depending on
the system that you set up. HOWEVER, it is not at all necessary that you
have any background-knowledge of composting to start it right away. It's very
easy.
*The "Urn Your Greens" Bin uses the
aerobic compost method.

Update: Since I launched this page, I was finding that the Links
that I had originally researched and listed for more information were of course always changing.
My intent here was to provide some addtional educational links rather than purely linking to someone sales promotion - it's their right of course to control that so I decided to minimize the links to other sites.
I would suggest that you use google to research general "How To" or "About composting" information. However the one or two remaining links below appear to stay consisitent with minimal Ads. |
